Nameless One, I'm so sorry to hear, but it was inevitable at this point. Humans cannot stop what they do as a whole, but we can stop what we do as individuals and start making positive change in the world. We need to move back towards nature instead of fearing and exterminating it. They ruined a little piece of the Earth for a stupid park/recreation center. Pretty soon from space, the Earth will be black and blue instead of green and blue.

You wanna hear something fucked up? There was this beautiful forested area nearby here where I always liked to walk and lie down in. Then it got surrounded in chain link fences and was completely decimated into dirt rubble. Guess what was built on top of it? A PARK!!!!

The park land consists mostly of... PARKING LOTS!

The second most space consuming item is a... RECREATION CENTER!

The recreation center building is surrounded by surveillance cameras. The park area has more super bright lighting than an 8 lane downtown highway at night. It's a horror show. Night time isn't even night time there.

The world we live in is shaped by intent. I'm sure you've read about the law of attraction. The first step to changing the world is to take responsibility for its problems.

We don't choose a certain way to live our lives. The way we live our lives is dictated by the culture we live in. I don't think going outside and living in tents is going to save this civilization. I can see that we are already in a crash and it is accelerating towards industrial and economic destruction. It's hard to know what exactly to do because we have never been in this situation before as humans.

Over time, moving back to living in balance with nature, like we did for millions of years before agriculture would keep our population stable and allow us to find a place where we fit and can stay for millions of years more. How we get there is anyone's guess because I just don't see it happening soon. It has to be a gradual shift, and the shift must take place in the mind first.

This is the essay that got me thinking about this sort of thing.

Hey Andrew,

I'm a friend of Adam's. It sees like you are disappointed with the way many of us in the modern world choose to live our lives. But I'm wondering: what specifically do you propose for us to "get back on track?" Simple things, I'm talking about, not moving outside to live in tents, because that is too much to ask people to do instantly! Let me know what you're thinking...
